The Osprey Hornet 46 is a superlight backpack for anyone who wants to move fast with minimal weight, offering carrying capability for overnight trips and thru-hiking.
The highly ventilated and supportive bio-stretch harness, with mesh covered slotted foam, incorporates an adjustable sternum strap, zippered hipbelt pockets and energy gel pockets on the shoulder straps.
Load lifter straps allow you to adjust more weight on either the shoulders or hips for increased comfort. Foam backpanel is removable for extra versatility. Sternum strap buckle has a built in whistle for safety.
Mesh side pockets and stretch woven rear stuff-it pocket provide plenty of external storage. The top pocket has two zippered pockets, one on top, and one underneath. Top pocket is also removable for going even lighter.
Overskirt has an adjustable compression strap. Side compression straps enable you to adjust the volume to perfectly fit the contents of your pack. Ice axe loops and cord tie-off points make attachment easy.
External hydration compartment provides room for a hydration reservoir without sacrificing internal pack storage capacity. Top loop secures the reservoir and keeps it from sagging. Hydration sleeve is large enough for a 128 ounce reservoir.
